Lambda Research Coporation release TracePro Bridge for SolidWorks 4.1.8, Free to subscribed users

The TracePro Bridge for SolidWorks is an Add-in …

Lambda Research Coporation release TracePro Bridge for SolidWorks 4.1.8, Free to subscribed users

The TracePro Bridge for SolidWorks is an Add-in tool designed to allow SolidWorks users access to TracePro property data. Thus, it permits the export of mechanical models complete with optical properties. This makes it possible to create a TracePro file within SolidWorks and to maintain the design intent contained in the model. Designers can export to TracePro SolidWorks-made models ready for ray trace and optical analysis.

It provides easy exchangeability for both TracePro users who produce mechanical designs in SolidWorks as well as SolidWorks users that need to make optical models to be analyzed in TracePro. The TracePro Bridge for SolidWorks seamlessly incorporates optical property assignment and model navigation features from TracePro into the SolidWorks environment.

This feature allows mechanical and optical designers to produce fully integrated optical, mechanical and lighting designs and analyse the illumination.

OSLO Optical design software now has some new features making it even easier to design better optical systems:

OSLO Optical design software now has some new features making it even easier to design better optical systems:

OSLO was the first software to demonstrate the serious optics and lens design could be carried out using desktop computers. Today, OSLO has been accepted as a practical tool by companies throughtout the the world that use it to create better, lower-cost designs and manufacture them more efficiently. But optics design today goes far beyond the range of problems handled in the past. Now, optics systems are integrated with electronics and image processing software, which creates new deisgn alternatives. And OSLO’s technological leadership in optics and lens design software is more valuable today than ever before. Some of the new Features are:

Windows Vista and Windows 7 compatibility

Updated CODE V Importer

Updated ZEMAX Importer

Tabulated Surface Macro

Forbes Asphere DLL (Premium only)

See here for more information.

Lambda Research Corporation Announces the Early Release of TracePro 6.0 Optomechanical Design Software with x64 capability

Littleton, Massachusetts – September 4, 2009Lamp with CIE Plot
Lambda Research Corporation announces the early access release of TracePro® 6.0,the newest version of its award winning optomechanical design software. TracePro 6.0 is now x64 capable, allowing it to simulate larger systems using larger ray traces over spectral bands to investigate uniformity, solar and color issues at higher fidelity. TracePro 6.0 is recommended for the Windows x64 XP, Vista, and System 7 operating systems taking advantage of the Windows x64 memory expansion. TracePro is the first optical raytracing product to break the Win32, x86 memory limits to give users the full advantage of x64 capability.

TracePro 6.0 includes new analysis capabilities including an interactive CIE plot showing color gamut, enhanced RepTile prism geometry, and solid concentrator constructors specifically designed for simulating solid CPCs for solar applications. TracePro’s property dialog boxes have been redesigned for ease of use making them simpler, alphabetical and in a quick entry style.
